“You may choose to look the other way but you can never say again that you did not know.” –William Wilberforce
The Justice Project Joins the Texas Rally For Life:
When: Saturday, January 26th from 1:00pm-3:00pm
* The Justice Project Team invites anyone to meet Dr. Daryl @ 12pm at Quiznos at 922 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701
Who: Anyone who has a heart for the unborn.
What: The Justice Project team will join the Texas Rally For Life March by holding several large abortion victim and prenatal signs on the south sidewalk of the Capitol entrance. We know that the majority of pro-life advocates will be in the main area at the Capitol, but we want to assemble a team willing to forego that portion of the event in order to hold the photos of truth (we have well over 20 large signs).
Purpose: WHY DO WE MARCH? We want to put a clear face to the purpose of the rally (commemorating the 44th anniversary of the tragic Roe v. Wade decision). As thousands of people participate in this march, we desire to further encourage not only those participating, but also the general public in what abortion truly is. There will be many people walking and driving by wondering…”what is this event all about?” Though the words of “life” are a good start, we believe people need to see what unborn “life” and “death” really are!… and as the saying goes… “A picture is worth a thousand words.”… and we all know that the word “abortion” has lost meaning in our society!
Place and Schedule:
12:00pm – You are invited to meet Dr. Daryl @ Quiznos on 922 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701
1: 00 pm – Meet at 18th & N. Congress Ave (if you want to join the march)
Or, meet at on the south-side sidewalk of the Capitol building, if you want to help set up and man a-frame signs.
NOTE: We need volunteers who would be willing to forego the march portion and help set up the signs at the south sidewalk entrance. Dr. Daryl will NOT be at the beginning location- but already at the south side entrance. If you want to help with this, you can meet me on the south-side sidewalk at about 1pm.
Also, many times, there are counter-protestors battling for that same spot, so it is very helpful to have volunteers there early to help secure this prime location (where passersby and vehicular traffic will witness our signs).
1:30 pm – March to Capitol (The Justice Project Team will be already set up and waiting for the marchers to come through)
2:00 – 3:00 pm – Justice Project Event: On the south sidewalk of the Capitol entrance to hold signs. (This will take place during the Rally, where there will be speakers and such.)
Parking: There are several parking garages available, free of charge on weekends @ 16th St., Colorado and 13th St. and San Jacinto, as well as 18th St and Brazos – This garage is free if you park before 1 PM. (Link to map)
ON THIS MAP, OUR SIGN TEAM WILL MEET, SET UP, AND HOLD SIGNS WHERE THE BLUE FOOTSTEPS END (AT THE SOUTH SIDEWALK OF THE CAPITOL). http://www.texasrallyforlife.org/parking/
