As it says in Act 1:8 Act 1:8 NASB - but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth. To fulfill that command that Christ has given to each one of us, LWF seeks to be involved in local missions in our community as well as financially supporting and caring for missions and missionaries to the remote parts of the earth. These are the missionaries and ministries both local and remote that we support as a church.

Media Talk 101

Media Talk 101 Logo

Media Talk 101 is a Christian nonprofit ministry founded in 2005 to guide believers in making wise entertainment and media choices from a biblical perspective. Stemming from the Pastor Phillip's 1989 conviction as a new Christian—sparked by a transformative two-week media fast that deepened his fellowship with God—the ministry addresses harmful media content, including immoral worldviews, sexual immorality, violence, and rebellion, while promoting discernment to prioritize spiritual intimacy over distractions.

With the rise of smartphones, social media, and constant connectivity, it has expanded to tackle media addiction (averaging over 11 hours daily) and its impacts on mental health and relationships. Through teaching and resources, Media Talk 101 equips Christians to redirect attention from worldly amusements toward deeper joy and fellowship with God and His Spirit.

Harvest Evangelistic Association

Harvest Evangelistic Association

Harvest Evangelistic Association is a ministry that serves in countries all over the world, but their headquarters is in Chiapas Mexico. Greg and Michele McClanahan, once lost in a lifestyle of heavy drinking and reckless sin—driving around intoxicated and shooting out street lights—experienced dramatic conversions to Christ 24 years ago. Greg was profoundly convicted by a godly coworker's witness at General Motors, leading him to repent on his floor, overwhelmed by Jesus' love despite his sins. Cleansed and transformed, he devoured the Bible daily. Two weeks later, Michele, initially skeptical, was convicted while listening to rock music lyrics glorifying evil; she cried out for forgiveness and was instantly changed.

Since then, the McClanahans have dedicated their lives fully to Jesus, traveling worldwide to share their testimonies and the Gospel, believing God uses the impossible to shake the world and receive all glory. They have seen hundreds of thousands come to faith, rejoicing in the miracle of salvation and using every means to proclaim what Christ has done for them and can do for others.

Jacob Necela & Jonah Necela

Jonah and Jacob Necela

Jonah and Jacob, twin brothers, both experienced transformative encounters with God's love at age 15, shifting from knowing about the Lord to a deep, personal relationship with Jesus that ignited a lifelong passion to follow Him and share the Gospel. Jonah became a Christian young but was radically saved at 15, discovering Jesus as the only true satisfaction, while Jacob's life was transformed as he began walking intimately with God. This shared fire led them to say "yes" to full-time missions, fueled by the heartbreaking reality of over 3 billion unreached people who have never heard Jesus' name—many dying daily without access to the Gospel.

Together, they are committed to reaching the lost in the darkest places, inspiring Gen Z to break free from addiction, depression, anxiety, and brokenness, and embrace the freedom and fullness in Christ to fulfill the Great Commission. Jonah, having completed a Discipleship Training School with Circuit Riders (YWAM) in June 2024, now serves with YWAM Lancaster in Pennsylvania—touring the U.S. to challenge young people for radical obedience and global missions, staffing training schools, leading worship on drums, and joining international outreach teams. Jacob is pursuing further equipping through a 3-month Catalytic Bible School at YWAM Lancaster starting September 2024, followed by a 9-month School of Biblical Studies in South Africa in 2025, with plans for ongoing YWAM missions trips and potential staffing to teach and equip others.

Hello from the Telfer’s!

We will be moving to Thailand in January 2026. We’re going as a team of 9 to help at a children’s home with over 700 hundred kids and only 9 full time staff.

We have committed to being there for 2 years to help with projects around the home, teaching English, helping feed and bathe the children, and encouraging the staff and teachers working there.

We’ll be going through a 5 month language school in Chiang Mai in the spring, about an hour away from the children’s home. We would love for you to pray for us, check in on us or come visit!

Feel free to reach out using WhatsApp or Signal

Micah and Anna Necela

Micah and Anna Necela

Micah and Anna Necela are newly married missionaries serving with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, called to reach the least-reached people with the Gospel. They staff the Discipleship Training School (DTS), where students spend three months learning about God's character, the Bible, and spiritual disciplines, followed by two months on outreach in unreached nations sharing the Gospel and distributing Bibles to those who have never heard of Jesus.

With experience in 17 nations—including Nepal's Himalayan villages and Papua New Guinea's remote tribes—they have shared the Good News, led people to Christ, prayed for the sick, and witnessed transformations in places like Cambodia, Egypt, Turkey, and more. Driven by the reality that 3.2 billion people remain unreached and Jesus' Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), they are committing to a three-year long-term plant in Cambodia starting spring 2025 (where less than 1.2% are Christian), to learn Khmer, evangelize, disciple believers, and support Bible translation into tribal dialects. They also speak at youth groups, schools, and colleges to mobilize others for missions.

Jacob and Karina Starnes

Jacob and Karina Starnes

Jacob and Karina Starnes are joining Stoneworks as missionaries in the Gyergyo Basin, a Hungarian-speaking region of Romania with a population of about 250,000. They will partner with a rapidly growing evangelical church—the only one in the area—to disciple new believers, support church planting, and potentially minister to children amid concerns of abuse and trafficking. Jacob, from Texas with prior missions in Senegal and Chad among Arab nomads, holds degrees in civil engineering and theological studies. Karina, born in Budapest and fluent in Hungarian, has experience in campus ministry, short-term missions in Africa, and Christian school administration in Hungary. The couple met online as missionaries, married in 2019 and have two children with one on the way!
