Do you remember a time in your life when you were at a point of desperation? Maybe it was from a long day of hard work with little food and you were desperate for a meal or a some cool water. Perhaps you were in a dire circumstance and you were desperate to find help in your situation. You would be in good company with the people Jesus encounters during this sermon in Mark 5. Pastor Phillip helps teaches that even though Jesus encounters these very desperate people, he welcomes them and shows compassion on them. So to, in our own life, no matter what we are going through or what our needs are, Jesus is a man of compassion.
