Have you ever led a group and had to gauge their temperature or engagement? In today’s message, Jesus does just that with His disciples as He dismisses the throng fed by the 5 loves and 2 fish and who wanted to make Him king. Jesus asks several deeply important questions. Since they had their preverbal “ear” to the cultural “ground” He asked them what people were saying about Him. But then He asks the clincher: “But who do you say that I am?” For every one of us, everything really boils down to how we answer that same question – Who do you say that Jesus is?
