Have you ever doubted God’s ability? In today’s sermon, we see Jesus coming off the mountain top where He was transfigured and encounters a desperate father who’s son is being destroyed by an evil spirit. As he encounters Jesus, through his words he betrays the fact that he doubts even in his asking Jesus to act on behalf of his son. Jesus lovingly addresses this issue and does heal the boy, but this man learns what each of us need to learn: To come to God believing while having humble heart of honesty with Him.
