In today’s message, Pastor Phillip teaches through the last part of Acts chapter 4 where the disciples shared everything in common but most importantly they experienced Holy Spirit unity. As we study this portion of scripture, we must understand that contrary to some people’s belief, this display of sharing among the disciples is much different than what is taught in Marxist/socialist ideology. These believers were sharing everything willingly without being coerced and did so out of the leading of the Holy Spirit. In addition to this, Pastor Phillip shows how the Bible teaches a strong work ethic and how those responsible for a family should provide for their own household, both of which are ideas contrary to the Marxist/socialist ideology.
