In today’s passage, we encounter an amazing act of kindness on behalf of a blind man. His friends come and beg Jesus to heal this man whom they love and care for. Jesus lovingly takes the man by the hand, leads him away from the group and then heals him. The profoundness of this passage extends beyond one point of significance as Pastor Phillip reveals to us. He brings to light the necessity to intercede on behalf of others and of recognizing that just as Christ spitting in the eyes of this blind man was unique to him, Christ will deal with us in a unique way to both draw us to himself and help us grow in the knowledge of Him.
