Have you ever considered why Jesus taught about laughing and mourning? We tend to default to thinking of these in very circumstantial terms but as Pastor Phillip continues to teach expositorily through the book of Luke, we see here in the beattitues of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, that He was wanting to point us to something much different than something purely circumstantial – He wanted to point us to an attitude reflecting a life dedicated to the Kingdom of God.
