Hopefully everyone is familiar with the story of the lost sheep and the lost coin. They are hallmarks in the many parables that Jesus teaches as recorded in the Gospels. However, as Pastor Phillip teaches in this message, Christ’s point in telling these parables was to point out to the Pharisees that God rejoiced when sinners repented. Why would Jesus share this? Because the Pharisees were criticizing Jesus’ intimate involvement with sinners and tax collectors by eating with them. This brings us hope and should give us motivation about sharing the good news of Christ with others!
