As Pastor Phillip continues teaching through the book of Luke, we see in Today’s message that the people who thronged in Bethsaida to see Him were coming because of their longing to be with Jesus. Though Jesus had called His disciples away for the purpose of rest and possibly even mourning in the wake of John the Baptist’s death, they didn’t get that chance – we see Jesus have compassion on them and minister to them. There are a lot of lessons we learn from this passage, but most important is that Christ is our Shepherd.
